Everything announced at Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Unpacked event

Samsung unveiled a new series of Galaxy S22 phones during its inaugural Galaxy Unpacked event in 2022: the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus. Samsung also unveiled the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which comes with a stylus. It is essentially a follow-up to the once-popular Galaxy Note series.

The S22 Ultra, according to Samsung, offers a quicker S-Pen reaction speed. Other modifications are small, such as a slight redesign and enhanced night vision capabilities in the camera. Despite being Samsung’s mainstream flagships, the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus are likewise iterative. These phones are fairly similar to the devices from the previous year, except they are more robust and feature superior portrait mode functionality.

Finally, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 — which includes a notch — is a new high-powered Android tablet.

If last year’s Galaxy S21 Ultra with a 6.8-inch screen appeared to have room for a pen, it was because Samsung was already thinking about it. This year, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is the latest Galaxy Note, but with a faster S-Pen pen reaction time of 9 milliseconds.

The camera hardware is comparable to the previous edition, with a 108-megapixel primary shooter, 3x and 10x telephoto cameras, and an ultra-wide lens, but the low-light performance and portrait mode with depth mapping have been enhanced. RAW shooting is now possible on the gadget, and it can charge at a rate of 45W.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra with 128GB begins at $1,199. It is available in a number of colours (some of which are unique to Samsung’s own shop) with a fresh design that may prove divisive.

The Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus appear remarkably similar to the previous Galaxy S21 models, but with matching colours for the camera bump and body instead of clashing colours.

The actual physical upgrade comes from the inclusion of Gorilla Glass Victus Plus on both the front and back, rather with the prior basic versions’ cheap plasticky glass. The displays are 6.1 and 6.6 inches in size, with resolutions of 2340×1080.

Better night vision and a better portrait option have been added to the cameras. The Galaxy S22 starts at $799.99, while the Galaxy S22 Plus starts at $999.99, both with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM.

ANDROID TABLETS ARE HOPEFULLY MAKING A RETURN WITH SAMSUNG’S MASSIVE NEW TAB S8 ULTRA.

The new Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra from Samsung sports a massive 14.6-inch OLED screen and begins at $1,099.99. The 12.4-inch (Plus) Galaxy Tab S8 and 11-inch Galaxy Tab S8 versions both have 120Hz refresh rate screens, however the larger one now sports an OLED screen

They run Android 12, which includes Samsung’s newest attempt to improve multitasking. They may also be used as a second screen on a Samsung PC. The 11-inch Tab S8 costs $699.99, while the plus variant costs $899.99.

Samsung also continued its pattern of collaborating with Google to introduce features early on its phones. This time, it’s remote YouTube watch parties inside Google Duo, as well as a YouTube Premium trial.

Finally, in other ecosystem news, Samsung announced that Google Assistant compatibility for the Galaxy Watch 4 will arrive “soon.”
