Conor McGregor got himself arrested in West Dublin which is his hometown for a dangerous driving charge. He faces a heavy fine with a potential six months in prison.

Conor McGregor was reportedly pulled over by the cops, arrested and then charged with several driving offences while he was operating his new Bentley Continental GT. The cost of the luxury vehicle is $187,000 was briefly taken by the police. The police did not specifically take the name of Conor McGregor as by law they cannot tell the name of the person who has been arrested, but they did say that an arrest was made.

“Gardai arrested a man in his 30s in relation to an incident of dangerous driving specifically in the Palmerstown area yesterday evening. Tuesday, 22nd March 2022,” the department further added that the man was taken to Lucan Garde Station where he was later charged. The man has been released pending an appearance before Blanchardstown District Court at a late date.

After the famous UFC Star was charged for the crimes, he was released on bail and the vehicle was returned to him.

“Mr McGregor was driving to the gym when he was stopped by Gardai for alleged road traffic violations,” McGregor’s representative Karen Kesler said in a statement. He got checked for drugs and alcohol test at the station which he passed.”

This is not the first time that Conor McGregor has been charged for rash driving.

In 2018, Conor McGregor had his driving license revoked and had to pay a heavy fine after he was reportedly driving over 154km/h in a 100kn/h zone. This charge was done after the year when Conor McGregor paid a hefty fine worth approximately $440 for speeding.

McGregor’s competitive future was in jeopardy after he suffered a broken leg during his last latest fight with Dustin Poirier last July. Although now he is almost back and training vigorously and aiming for a return to the UFC Octagon this summer.

The 33-year old former champion is confident of securing another title shot in his latest comeback, even though he lost his last 3 out of the 4 matches. Conor McGregor is setting his sights on moving to welterweight to take on Usman and trying to become the first and only one triple-weight world champion.

In an interview, Usman said, “ I do not take anything that he says seriously because I understand he is just a clout chaser, He is just looking for clout.”

He always likes to attach his name to the guy at the top of the sport as it makes him feel special in a way. He tries to announce his resurgence. That is what he does, if he is fighting, he is going to tweet about it. If I am fighting, he is still going to tweet about it.

“He just wants to keep his name in the trends and somehow relevant out there, Because obviously, his fighting is not doing the talking anymore. He wants to keep his name out there, that is why his fingers are doing the talking nowadays. Conor McGregor wants to come back into the news with another champion title to his name.
