Djokovic is currently the only player to win all four Grand Slams in his spectacular career at least twice in the last 50 years. Despite losing the first two sets, Djokovic, 34, had an excellent temperament, rebounded calmly, gaining a trophy from the remaining three sets against Tsitsipa, 22 years old. Djokovic’s novelty is to make a comeback. Sunday was the sixth time he came together from two places, and he did this in a Grand Slam final for the first time. He is only one prize away to equal the men’s record held by Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, and he will get his first chance in Wimbledon, which begins in the coming weeks.

Title Press Conference

“Of course I’m thrilled, and I’m very proud of this achievement being part of the history of the sport that I love with all my heart is always it’s something very inspiring and very fulfilling for me, so you know couldn’t be happier and more satisfied with this kind of scenario in the last 48 hours. I mean, this probably ranks the top three all-time achievements and experiences that I had in my professional tennis career, going through four and a half battle with Rafa on his court and then bouncing back after not practicing yesterday and just coming in today with much energy regained to fight another battle of four and a half hours against Stefanos who was you know playing in his first grand slam finals.”
