Queen Elizabeth celebrates 96th birthday

It is that time of year again when the Queen Elizabeth is going to celebrate her 96th Birthday naming it the platinum jubilee year. This marks the Queen’s 70 years on the throne which she got at the age of 26 in 1952. 

As can be seen in the picture the Queen Elizabeth was seen celebrating the occasion by spending time with two fell ponies named Bybeck Nightingale and Bybeck Katie. A lot of o VIPs sent the Queen Elizabeth’s birthday messages on social media. “Wishing Her Majesty, the Queen a very happy 96th Birthday today,” William and Catherine, Duke and Dutches of Cambridge, wrote on Twitter. She is an inspiration to so many people across the whole UK.”

The prince of Wales, Charles and Dutchess of Cornwall Camilla also sent their birthday messages to the Queen Elizabeth. The message read “ Wishing Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth a particularly special 96th birthday as we celebrate her Platinum Jubilee year,” 

The platinum Jubilee marks the seven decades of the monarch on the throne which she ascended in 1952 till date. This makes her the longest-reigning monarch in Britain while also the longest-serving female head of the state in history.

A number of events will take place all over the UK to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday starting with a four day national bank holiday from Thursday, June 2nd until Sunday, June 5th popularly known as the Jubilee Weekend.

The famous toymaker Mattel announced that he will be making a barbie doll, especially in the monarch’s likeness to celebrate the platinum jubilee. The Queen Elizabeth II barbie will have an ivory gown, blue riband and a special tiara. The doll will go live on sale on Thursday.

The Queen Elizabeth revealed that she is very tired and exhausted because of the recent clash with Covid-19. In February, she was found positive for the virus. But while in a conversation with Harry the Duke of Sussex and Queens Grandson, the Duke said that the Queen was in great form and her health was perfect when he saw her in mid-April. 

“It was just so nice to see her and talk to her,” said Harry in an interview. “After a certain age you get bored of celebrating your birthdays” Harry commented on his grandmother’s birthday ahead of her turning 96. Talking about his relationship with his grandmother, Harry commented,” We are very close together and share everything between us. Sometimes we share things with one another which we cannot tell someone else, it is a really special bond and one that I cherish a lot.”
